Why an application?
A background and reference check is required for all volunteers working with a number of ministries within ChangePoint to help ensure the well-being of ministry participants. An interview is part of the application process. Information collected will be handled with respect and confidentiality.
Where do I find the application?
The application is located on the ChangePoint’s website, www.changepointalaska.com. Click Ministries, then Volunteering. This will take you to the Volunteer page where you will find the ministry opportunities and application.
What do I need to complete the application?
You will need at least 20 minutes or less and the following

- Your social security number and correct date of birth if you are 16 years of age or older.
- Your current and former addresses for the last 7 years complete with state and zip code.
- Names, daytime contact
information and complete mailing addresses for 3 personal references NOT related to you by blood or marriage. Exception – if you are under the age of 18, you may use 1 parent and/ guardian. It is preferred that at least one of your references attend ChangePoint.
- Names and addresses of churches you have previously attended.
What if I have had an application in the past and it has expired?
You will need to complete and submit a new application.
