IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

No, come as you are! Dress the kids up or bring them in their jammies....just come!

DO I NEED TO PREREGISTER MY KIDS?

For Sunday Morning, you don't need to preregister. When you enter through the main entrance, look to the right, and you'll see the kids area. Come to the guest check in, and our friendly team will help you register your little ones and walk you to their class. Where you drop off is where you'll pick up!

WHAT AGE GROUPS DO YOU OFFER?

Sunday Morning classes:
Nursery:
  • Infants/crawlers
  • Walkers
  • 2 yr olds
Preschool:
  • 3 yr olds
  • 4 yr olds
Elementary:
  • Kindergarten-2nd grade
  • 3rd grade-5th grade
Each age group has their own classroom. The room you drop them off in, is the same room you'll pick them up from.

WHAT ARE YOUR SAFETY & SECURITY PROCEDURES?

This is a top priority for our kids area.  From vetted volunteers, to secure areas, to parent/child pick up tags, security team, and identifiable volunteers and staff. We also follow adult: child ratios in the classes.

If we need to call you out of service for any reason, we'll text you, so keep your phone handy!

WHAT DO YOU TEACH THE KIDS ON SUNDAY?

The Gospel. It all comes down to the Good news found in Jesus Christ, but we know we only get them for one hour out of 168 hours a week! Here's how we use that time:

In nursery and preschool, we help our kids understand that:
  • God Made them.
  • God Loves them
  • Jesus wants to be with them forever.

In Elementary,  it's about:
  • Making wiser choices
  • Building stronger relationships
  • Developing a deeper faith

WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU HAVE FOR FAMILIES?

Here are a few:
1. Fun Incentives for Kids
In elementary we want our kids to hang out with God. So if they memorize the weekly Bible verse, do service projects, complete their weekly devotional, or invite friends to church, they earn "Mountain Bucks" that they save up.  On the last Sunday of the month we have the AdventureLand Store for kids to shop from.

2. Weekly Devotionals for kids
No-one can operate on an empty tank, and it's the same with God's Word. Digging deeper into God's Word is something we should all do, every day, so we have a weekly devotional sheet that kids can take home after church and complete and return the next Sunday!

3. Hyfi at Home
Hyfi is the curriculum that we use for all ages. You have access to all of the digital content we used on Sundays and additional at home resources that go right along with the Bible Story they hear each week.  Access it here!

3. Parent Cue App
This is a free app (download in the Apple or Google Play store), that can be personalized per child. It provides ideas for you to use at home, as we live out Deuteronomy 6!

4.  RightNow Media
This is a free resource for parents. We think of it as Christian Netflix, as well as a library of books and Bible studies for the WHOLE FAMILY! Email CPkids@changepointalaska.com for your code for a free account!

5. Workshops
We offer child dedication, baptism, discipleship classes (for kids), as well as parenting classes throughout the year!
