The reason why I'm going on this mission is because I feel called to help the kids and families in the community that we are going to. This will be my second mission trip, but first down to Costa Rica. This would also be an experience I will not forget since it'd be my first time in this new place. It'll also help me with some leadership since I am one of the 2 Sophomores on this team.

Hi, my name is Lucy Smith, I'm excited to go to Costa Rica. I am a freshman and this will be my first mission trip. I have three older brothers who have all gone on mission trips so you can guess my excitement! i am excited to go out of the country and share God's love and grow spiritually myself and with others. I will be staying in host homes with local families from the church we will be serving with. We will also be going into the schools to teach ESL classes with the kids. I'm taking a Spanish class this year and am excited to talk with the kids with the little Spanish I know.

Thank you for visiting my page! I have a wonderful opportunity to go to Costa Rica over spring break 2024.  

We will be teaching the Gospel to children there, as well as creating and sharing memories for everyone involved.

Hello to anybody out there who is reading, this is Matthew S Mayer, Happy New Year! With the new year comes new adventures and that means I am going to Costa Rica in March with Change Point Student Ministries. Last year I went to Texas and Mexico and was excited to work with kids through vacation Bible school. I got to talk with parents of the students that came and speak in Spanish as one of the two translators for the team. This made the parents more comfortable with the team, speaking to them in their own language. I have been in Spanish Immersion since kindergarten and am mostly fluent in Spanish. It was a great experience to see how I could handle conversations with native speakers. I look forward to doing the same in Costa Rica this year. We will be working with a school teaching the kids their English as well as staying with host families. This will bring on a host of new challenges and experiences.
