Dan’s Deep Dive
March 23 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Raising children is a challenge in any day and age but today, Christian parents and grandparents are overwhelmed by cultural influences that confuse and threaten the hearts, minds, and lives of their “little loved ones.” The most natural reaction is fear: fear of the world . . . fear of our secular culture . . . fear of the legion of influences that deluge a child’s experience every day. That fear can cause us to clamp down on our children, create rigid rules and checklists of “do’s” and “don’ts” aimed at protecting our kids and controlling anything that might cause harm to them. Ironically, that “control instinct” does more to drive our kids and grandkids away than it does to keep them safe.
Grace-based parenting and grandparenting is about empowering children rather than controlling them. It mirrors God’s love, reflects His forgiveness, and encourages measured but increasing liberty; displacing fear as a motivator for the choices we make. Grace and discipline are not contrary ideas, but the goal of all discipline is to equip children to live in God’s grace. We need to nurture each child’s uniqueness and encourage our children to take spiritual and emotional risk in an environment where failure and mistakes are simply part their growth. If you want to make grace, not fear, the driving force in your family, this seminar is for you.
Join us for a Biblical Seminar with Dan Jarrell at the Raspberry Campus on March 23 from 9:00am-12:00pm as we explore “Grace-based Parenting and Grandparenting.” No registration is required except for children.
