Hello! I am a third grade teacher at a K-5 neighborhood elementary school in Anchorage, AK. I am requesting donations of basic school supply items for my wonderful students. Not all of my kiddos can afford school supplies, so having extras readily available ensures everyone has the tools they need to succeed and feel included. We are so very thankful and appreciative for any items donated to our class. Thank you!

I’m about to start my first year teaching 5th grade at North Star Elementary, a Title 1 school here in Anchorage. Most of our students come from low-income families, and I’m building my classroom from the ground up. If any retired teachers are parting with supplies or if there’s anything available to help, I would be beyond grateful. One of my biggest goals is to create a classroom library full of bilingual and culturally relevant books that reflect the students I serve—many of whom are Polynesian or Spanish-speaking. I believe representation and access to books can truly spark a love of reading and help students feel seen.
I teach 7th Grade English Language Arts at Hanshew Middle School. I teach five different class periods, each consisting of 30-38 students. I want to set my students up for success and provide them with a comfortable environment in which to learn.
I’ll be teaching 2nd grade at Kincaid Elementary, and I’m so excited to welcome a new group of eager learners. As many of you know, setting up a classroom requires a lot of time, love, and resources.
If you feel led to give, even the smallest contribution would be such a blessing to my class. Most importantly, I ask for your continued prayers for a joyful, productive, and safe school year ahead.
