DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. When you think of something as being "pure" in nature, what do you think of? Come up with a definition of what it means to have a pure heart.

2. Is it possible to do the right things with an impure heart? Is it possible to do the wrong things with a pure heart? What do you think Jesus is trying to communicate in Matthew 7 when he condemns the false prophets even though they have apparently been "doing spiritual things in Jesus name?" What was the problem and how does that relate to "purity of heart?"

3. How do you know when your heart is pure? If you are uncertain about your heart purity, what can you do about that uncertainty? How can you be sure that what you do for Christ comes from motives of integrity?
